The historical Museum opened in the Novosibirsk zoo is part of the exhibition dedicated to its former Director Rostislav Shilo, whose name zoo is in 2016.

The exhibition presents various artifacts: old castles from the cells, items of the old uniform of the zoo workers, documents, and photos even the first of the Novosibirsk zoo, who has worked since 1947 on Gogol street near the Central market. Among unique exhibits – a portrait of Rostislav sewed, made of many small pictures of animals and figures of polar bears, hand-made by fans from Japan – in this country in the spring of 2015 live bear Shilka.
To get to the Museum, the zoo at no extra charge, but by appointment and only on weekdays from 9:00 to 18:00. The Museum is located in the administration building on the second floor.
