For the 19th straight year, Maxim returned to the biggest weekend in sports with the ultimate pre-Super Bowl bash: the Maxim Big Game Experience.
This year, Future, Jamie Foxx and Diplo headlined the musical set with additional performances by Zaytoven, Yo Gotti, DJ Ruckus, DJ Rootsqueen, Ariana Gavrilis and Barachi on Feb. 2 across 19,000 square feet of event space at The Fairmont in Atlanta.
This iconic evening paid homage to Atlanta royalty with unique activations and A-list talent less than four miles from Mercedes-Benz Stadium where the Patriots triumphed over the Rams.
Model Camille Kostek hosted the red-hot red carpet, greeting everyone from chart-topping musicians to supermodels and NFL stars who were on the guest list, including Future (multi-platinum hip-hop artist), Jamie Foxx (actor and artist), Diplo (Grammy Award-winning artist), Zaytoven (super producer and celebrity DJ), Yo Gotti (multi-platinum rapper), DJ Ruckus, Kevin Hart (actor and comedian), Odell Beckham, Jr. (Giants All-Pro WR), Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs All-Pro QB and NFL MVP), Deshaun Watson (Texans Pro Bowl QB).
APEX Social Club of the recently renovated PALMS Casino Resort took over the ultra-exclusive celebrity-packed balcony at the event. The event’s activations included Zaytoven’s Basement Studio, presented by AKG, which incorporated all aspects of the multi-platinum legend’s original Mama’s Basement studio, home to chart-topping tracks from the likes of Gucci Mane, Future, Migos and Usher. The all-immersive experience showcased AKG’s flagship product – the N700NC Wireless headphones – in a unique consumer listening activation that took guests on a journey with soulful sound, wall-to-wall memorabilia featuring classic “So Icy” Zaytoven jerseys, iconic mixtape covers and exclusive studio footage from Momma’s Basement, courtesy of Familiar Territory Records.
Guests also enjoyed an open bar featuring Pernod Ricard’s Chivas Regal® Scotch Whisky and additional premium lines in their diverse portfolio and light bites throughout the evening courtesy of Georgia-based Waffle House® restaurants, which served a variety of savory and sweet menu items inside the venue and via a full-service food truck directly outside of the venue, exclusively at The Maxim Big Game Experience.
Guests had access to a flavor lounge courtesy of blu, a pioneer of electronic cigarettes. Amuze, an online flashsale website that features designer pieces with discounts up to 70 percent, showcased a preview of what you will see at their warehouse pop-up shops. Guests were gifted by Boom Cups, Liquid IV and Som Sleep with Gentil Bandit making custom bags for celebrity attendees.
The Maxim Experiences are a joint venture between Maxim and global marketing agency Lagardère Sports and Entertainment. In the Know Experiences is the event’s exclusive hospitality partner and oversaw all VIP operations and experiences. The event was supported by 1Iota Productions, Ashley Avery Agency and Atlanta-based sports agency SportsTrust, who had a dedicated VIP section.
