This killer chronograph is Born to be Wild.
Breitling’s striking new collaboration with Norton motorcycles was designed to satisfy fans of classic bikes and luxury watches alike.
A release from the Swiss watchmaker’s Premier collection, the Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Norton Edition honors the storied British bike brand with «Norton» logos engraved on the left side of the case and transparent caseback.
The black dial, glistening gold numerals, silver subdials and white bezel inscribed with the word «TAChYMETER» in red create eye-catching contrast.
Keeping with the biker-friendly theme, the hands are coated in a luminescent «Super-LumiNova» finish, making them legible wherever a ride might take you, from city streets to back country roads.
It’s available with either a rugged brown leather strap or a flashier stainless steel bracelet—the former would definitely look cooler resting behind a set of handlebars.
At the heart of the bauble is the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 movement, which delivers an impressive power reserve of approximately 70 hours.
Norton even reciprocated the Swiss brand’s efforts with an exclusive streetbike dubbed the Commando 961 Cafe Racer MKII Breitling Limited Edition.
Powered by the company’s house-made 961cc engine, the vintage-styled cruiser is one of just 77 and boasts dials designed by the watchmaker, as well as signature «Bs» engraved on the clutch box and stitched into the seat.
“I think that anyone who puts one on might suddenly imagine ‘Born to be Wild’ playing somewhere in the background,” Breitling CEO Georges Kern said of the new collab.
Priced at $8,500, the Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Norton Edition is available for purchase online.
