The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed the decree about creation in Anapa military innovative Technopolis “Era” of the defense Ministry. The document is published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
The presidential decree States that funding for key innovation projects in addition to funds of the Ministry of defense in the budget and “other sources”, as will be the Foundation for future developments. Management of scientific and technical projects entrusted to the President of the fsbi national research centre “Kurchatov Institute”.
The construction of the military innovative Technopolis “Era” is the Black sea coast near Anapa on the area of 17 hectares. Vladimir Putin familiarized with the project of Technopolis 23 February 2018 in the Andreevsky hall of the Kremlin.
19 June 2018, the defense Ministry reported that VIT “Era” will be opened in September 2018.
As stated, the main focus in the scientific activities of the military Technopolis will be placed on the development of defense technologies. It is also planned work to identify potentially interesting for the Ministry of defence of new commercial technologies and evaluating their potential application for Armed Forces.
In General, the study will go for 8 main areas: IT systems and automated control systems; information security; robotics; power supply technologies, devices and machines life support systems; machine vision, pattern recognition; computer science and engineering; bioengineering and biosynthetic technology; nanotechnologies and nanomaterials.
