Novosibirsk athlete Yuri Tarasov won a difficult night race at the 82 kilometer – during the competition he had brought the muscle, and hair were covered with frost.
In the night of Sunday, may 27, along with four-time champion of Russia in mountain running Yuri Tarasov, the representative of the Novosibirsk centre of the higher sports skill (NCSM) start out of the 180 athletes. They had to run 82 km around the salt lake Elton. About 250 people took part in the 42 km and 100 runners showed up to 160 kilometers, said the Novosibirsk centre of the higher sports skill.
“As a leader is not stated, I did not think that I will win, as this is my first such a long distance. 72 km I was running relatively easy, the difficulty was only in the last ten kilometers – cramp in muscles in the hips. At the 48th kilometer of the settlement is situated, where you can relax, eat soup, drink water, have a massage, but I and other leaders of the race was not stopped”, – said Yuri Tarasov.
According to him, during the race it was about 3 degrees. After equipment inspection athletes for about another half hour kept in the starting corridor, and Novosibirsk runner started to get cold. And when the distance athletes descended into the valley, he was covered with frost hair.
Ultratrail Elton Volgabus Ultra-Trail® took place in the Volgograd region.

Yuri Tarasov 82 kilometres is the longest distance he had ever crossed on the competition
In the Novosibirsk centre of the higher sports skill said that the 82-kilometer distance Yury Tarasov ran for 5 hours and 55 minutes and 44 seconds.
“The closest rival Dmitry Breguet from the Saratov region showed the result of 2 minutes and 27 seconds longer. Third place in competition was occupied with the Muscovite Artem Storozhenko, having lagged behind the leader almost 39 minutes”, – reported in ICWSM.
The center added that this maximum distance, which Yury Tarasov overcame the competition, was 56 kilometres. In July, the athlete plans to run 50 km ultratrail.
At the end of April in the Leninsky district of Novosibirsk has passed relay race devoted to memory of warriors-Siberians who died in the great Patriotic war. The main prize of the relay – the Hyundai Solaris – received student of NSTU Victor Bakharev.
