Newlyweds: Elliott and Sadie tied the knot in England on Saturday in front of 400 friends and family – but Mark was not in attendance
‘I was devastated,’ he said. ‘He’s my cousin, he’s someone I’ve been so close to all my life, he’s like a best friend.
‘Having said that, I was in LA and I was on my own looking at social media and all my friends sending me messages, all my closet friends and family.
He added: ‘Of course I missed out massively but when I got the job I found out how much holiday time I get and I told him at the time it was going to be awkward and then I can let him know nearer the time.
‘But I was too busy at the time then I had to come to Vegas so it was just the wrong timing that I can’t just fly back for two days. I have to give certain notice for holiday time. I couldn’t do it, it was impossible. I tried my best.’
And Elliot previously admitted to MailOnline that he was very ‘supportive’ and ‘proud’ of Mark for pursuing his presenting gig in the States, even though it meant he would miss their big day.

The restaurateur continued: ‘I said “if you cant make it to my wedding then that’s unfortunately one of the things you’re gonna have to take the hit on”. If he can attend I”ll be over the moon but if he can’t I accept that’s how it is and I’m proud of him.
‘I can’t knock him, I’m very supportive and I’m very proud of him and if he can be at our wedding then fantastic. If he cant I know he’ll be upset but it’s a career choice and I accept it.’
