Twitter Inc has said email addresses and phone numbers uploaded by boots to meet its security expectations may have been “inadvertently” used for transportable purposes.

“We recently discovered that when you currently offered an email address or contact number for safety or security features purposes for example, two-factor authentication this data may have by mistake been used for advertising use, ” Twitter said with regards to statement on Tuesday.
When an advertiser submitted its marketing list, some gamers were being matched to those shopping lists based on their security email me or phone number.

Facebook made a similar public apology in July, admitting that it could have shared data from its mobile app users, which includes country codes and listings engagement, with advertising may find “even if you didn’t provide us with permission to do so”.
