The court refused to return the work to the controversial investigator

The Central District Court of Novosibirsk refused to satisfy the claim of the ex-head of the Berdsk Investigation Department,  Sergei Kopyrin – he wanted to return the job from which he was unexpectedly fired for the second time.

Sergey Kopyrin will appeal against the decision of the court, which refused to return his job

The Tsentralny District Court considered the claim of Sergei Kopyrin today, May 8, – according to information from the court’s website, Judge Maria Stebikhova decided to refuse the former head of the Berdsk Investigation Department to reinstate him in office.

“Only the effective part is announced there – the claim was denied – but the reasons were not explained, we will only know them, it turns out, on the 15th.

Until that time, we are all in the dark. Of course, we will appeal that to lose, it will not be worse. Moreover, we are confident that the dismissal is illegal, no matter who says anything, ”the  plaintiff’s lawyer Mikhail Gerastsyn told the NGS correspondent.

Sergey Kopyrin was fired at the end of March 2018. Earlier, he told the NGS that he did not know for what violations he lost his post as head of the Berdsk Investigation Department. He clarified that this was unexpected for him – the personnel department sent him a letter of dismissal, signed by the chairman of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin.

Kopyrin was already dismissed, allegedly due to criticism of the leadership – at the end of 2015. Then he managed to get reinstated at work through the court. He was also paid compensation in the amount of 260 thousand rubles. Soon after his return, Sergei Kopyrin spoke in detail in an interview with the NGS about the circumstances of his dismissal.

He is known for investigating scandalous cases with officials and businessmen – his department dealt with the case against the mayor of Berdsk Ilya Potapov. Kopyrin was also involved in the investigation of the criminal case against the Berd businessman Viktor Golubev.
