Vista Alegre’s centerpiece, Printemps, has received the German Design Award for excellence from the German Design Council.
The organization has been recognizing excellence in the design industry for more than 40 years.
The piece was designed by Carsten Gollnick and is one of several awards won by the company in the past year. The Plissé and Orchestra collections were awarded with the Red Dot Design Award 2015 and Orchestra also won the Wallpaper Design Award 2015.

Fitz and Floyd Acquires Sadek; Signs Deal with Hershey’s
Fitz and Floyd has acquired Andrea by Sadek. The acquisition was fueled by the company’s desire to better leverage the brand. Fitz and Floyd will maintain the existing collection, including The Williamsburg and Children’s Tea Sets, as well add new collections and enhanced sales support.
The brand’s online distribution channel has also been moved to the B2B sales platform, my.fitzandfloyd.com. The new collections under Fitz and Floyd will make their debut at the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market in January.
The company has also signed a licensing deal with The Hershey Company. This deal grants Fitz and Floyd the rights to design, manufacture and distribute four candy-branded gift collections: Hershey’s Hershey’s Kisses, Reese’s and Jolly Rancher.
The assortment of 125 individual prices will range from kitchenware, including serving and baking pieces, to modern takes on retro drinkware, as well as holiday lifestyle collections.
