If you’re not careful to raise your team just right, you may find yourself on the losing side of several of your battles.
With these tips and tricks, however, you can be sure that your Digimon team is the strongest that it can be. Let’s dive in!
Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory Beginner’s Guide
You and your team of Digimon will get by just fine in Cyberspace if you remember to DigiConvert at the right time, Digivolve whenever you can, make the most of Party Memory, keep a spread of Types and Attributes, and Load Digimon when you no longer want them.
Aim to Only DigiConvert at 200% Scan
When you encounter a Digimon, whether it’s out in the wild or accompanying a hacker, you scan the monster and end up learning a bit more about it. Once it’s been scanned to 100%, you can create your own Digimon of the same species using the DigiConvert feature on the DigiBank in the DigiLab.
However, DigiConverting your scan data will erase it, and there are good things that come to those who wait. If you can put up with grinding up the scan data of Digimon you want to 200% before DigiConverting, the Digimon will come out with stronger abilities. This can really give your team the edge you need to succeed against tougher foes.
Digivolve and De-Digivolve to Discover New and More Powerful Digimon
After your Digimon attain higher levels and stats, they can be Digivolved into one of many different kinds of Digimon. These Digimon will always be stronger than the one they Digivolved from, though they may be a different Type, Attribute, or look different entirely.
It’s always smart to Digivolve whenever you can, but you may get a Digimon that you don’t necessarily want out of it. In these cases, you can De-Digivolve the monster to turn it back to any of its potential previous forms, so long as you’ve discovered them. De-Digivolving it into a Digimon that it wasn’t before may even open up new options for Digivolving, so it’s worth exploring whenever you can spare it.
Make the Most out of Party Memory When Building Your Team
Every Digimon takes up a certain amount of Memory that directly correlates to how strong they are. You only have a little bit of total Party Memory when you begin the game, which means you need to be careful with how you build the team, or you may find yourself running out.
Think very carefully about Memory requirements when you go to DigiConvert and Digivolve more Digimon so that you don’t end up capping out or unable to use some of your favorites. You can earn more Party Memory by simply playing through the story, but until you have a comfortable amount, do be thoughtful.
Keep a Good Spread of Different Digimon Types and Attributes on Hand
Digimon Types and Attributes are an important part of combat that determines how weak or strong your Digimon are against the opponents. Each Digimon has a Type that encompasses every fiber of their being, including their strengths and defenses. There’s an attack triangle of sorts where Vaccines are strong against Viruses, Viruses are strong against Data, and Data is strong against Vaccines. There’s also a Free Type that’s not strong or weak to anything.
If Types are the main Digimon trait, then Attributes are the secondary. Every Digimon also has an Attribute, which is essentially an element that they are attuned to that dictates their defensive capabilities. Not all of their attacks will use that Attribute nor are you even guaranteed to have a skill that uses that attribute at all, but it still plays an important role in combat. So long as you have a solid and balanced mixture of Types and Attributes in your team, though, you should be able to overcome any challenge that stands in your way.
Load Digimon with Extra Experience by Feeding them Digimon You No Longer Want
After you’ve collected a lot of Digimon, you may find that you have a bunch that you don’t actually want. Rather than letting them sit in the DigiBank for eternity, you could feed them to Digimon that actually need the experience using the Load Digimon feature in the DigiLab.
To use the Load Digimon feature, you first select the Digimon that you want to feed, and then select the Digimon you wish to get rid of. The Digimon that eats the others gains experience based on how high of a level the others were. It can be a great way to quickly level up newly DigiConverted or Digivolved monsters.
