Donbas first, then Crimea

The ex-Minister of defense of Ukraine, head of the party “Civic position” Anatoly Gritsenko already has a peace plan, which foresees the return of the occupied part of Donbas and Crimea annexed by Russia.

“The peace plan is ready. Including with my participation in an informal format. It starts with the fact that the ultimate objective of all peace efforts is that our country needs to return to the internationally recognized boundaries as of February 2014, including the Crimea. It is impossible to talk about the resumption of equity, long-term peace, security assurances, if limited to line of demarcation or to give the Crimean Peninsula. Then, sorry, it could have been done a long time ago, not to lose tens of thousands of lives, not to the flow of refugees, not to go on suffering, which now feels whole country every day,” he said.

According to him, in the first stage, the plan provides that it will be about the withdrawal of the occupying Russian troops from the Donbass.

“Crimea will be the second stage. Frankly, more complex. It will be later in time, the international community’s efforts should be more intense. But when it comes to Donbas, I can not say that this is good news, but it is a factor with a plus sign: Putin does not need it. It is already clear,” – said Gritsenko.

The politician made it clear that under no conditions is not going to abandon these territories if he is elected President.

“This is our territory, our people. In our party, a lot of people for whom the Donetsk, Lugansk and surrounding towns and villages is their homeland. They grew up there, there were relatives, someone went on not occupied territory, they have lost what you earned,” stated the former Minister.

In addition, Hrytsenko added that after decentralization, the region needs no special status.

“The special status, which was imposed in Minsk, it will not be accurate. It is necessary to swing. In our plan this is even a question. It is possible that we will hear in the occupied territories and that portion of the people that were unhappy with the centralization of power in Kiev, they will be pleasantly surprised. Our country was going in this direction far enough. Go to any regional centre and compare the 2014 budget and the current view on the state of the roads. Where it is not stealing, just climbing. The authority went down. What he wanted of them is already there, don’t need the status,” he concluded.

The Network showed the effects of the drought in the Crimea (video)

In the network appeared the new video from Russia-occupied Crimea, which recorded the effects of severe drought in the Peninsula.

The corresponding video published on the page of the project “Crimea.Realities” in Facebook.

“Crimea is slowly turning into desert. The situation with water every day is getting worse. Officials say “everything depends on heavenly office”, and the opposition comment on the water situation as a “disaster” because “everything dries up and all suffer,” reads the video description.

As noted, only because of the spring drought, the farmers of the Peninsula has lost about one billion rubles of profit. But overall the harvest is expected in 2018, at least twice smaller than it was in 2017.

“In*a nice” scandal in Russia: the well-known chain collapsed because of the “cut” of the Crimea (video)

After the scandal with the post about “uncovered fleece” Galina Panina, PR girls, “Leroy Merlin” in Russia, the Russian Internet users against online and found that one of her commercials the map of the Russian Federation shown without the occupied Crimea, Sakhalin and the Kaliningrad region.

In this regard, the indignant Russians expressed their dissatisfaction with the policy of the company and suspected her of anti-Russian views.

However, it is noted that the absence of a temporarily annexed the Ukrainian Peninsula on the map of the aggressor is quite logical: the video was published in 2013. However, the users of the network of Russia decided not to do favors “Leroy Merlin” and rebuked her that she five years did not feel the need to make changes to the map and allowed himself wrongly “cut off” from the Russian territory of Kaliningrad and Sakhalin.

Merkel called the increase NATO response to the Russian annexation of Crimea

The German Chancellor considers it appropriate to increase its military presence of NATO in Eastern Europe. The conflict in the Donbas and the annexation of Crimea forced NATO to increase defense spending. About that German Chancellor Angela Merkel (Angela Merkel) said in a podcast posted on Twitter on Saturday, July 7, the official representative of the German government Steffen Seibert (Steffen Seibert). This entry was posted on the eve of the NATO summit on July 11-12 in Brussels.

“For all of us annexation of Crimea and fighting in Eastern Ukraine became an event that played a crucial role” for later “radical changes and decisions” adopted by the Alliance, especially during the summit in Newport (South Wales) in September 2014, said Merkel.

In the meeting, member States of NATO have agreed for ten years to increase allocation for defence to 2 percent of GDP. In March, the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that in the current year, this goal has been achieved for eight countries.

The growing NATO presence in Eastern Europe

“This means that we have to actively concentrate on the defense of the Alliance and to take appropriate action, for example due to the presence in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe”, – said the head of the German government.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has increased the pressure on Germany, demanding that she adhered to the stated objectives. “1.5 percent is not the same thing as two percent,” he said, referring to the figure, which German Chancellor Angela Merkel (Angela Merkel) promised to achieve by 2025. “I expect that Germany will do more work”, – said Stoltenberg.

In mid-June, during the meeting with Stoltenberg, Merkel has promised to continue to increase military spending, but noted that to implement the tasks assigned in 2014, for the ten-year period will fail.
