Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has proposed legislation to allow to work only drivers with Russian rights.
“Taxi drivers are foreigners working with their national rights. It is clear that were they not always adequate, and this is an additional risk for passengers,” – said the mayor.
Also Sobyanin called on taxi aggregators to indicate in their mobile apps, information about the country in which the taxi driver got my license. In this case, passengers will be able to decide whether they want to go with the driver holding a foreign driver’s license.
