In St. Petersburg failed service payment of Parking by SMS. The system failure occurred at 18:55 on 7 August. Today around 12:20 state of the service restored.

While SMS payment was not available, motorists can pay for Parking in the city centre with Parking meters, mobile app and website «Parking Saint-Petersburg».
Earlier it became knownthat in St. Petersburg will change the tariffs for paid Parking. The cost will depend on the occupancy of Parking lots.
Paid Parking in the center of St. Petersburg introduced in 2015. 87 % of drivers had not paid for Parking, and the Smolny could not fine the violators — the police refused to disclose the personal data of defaulters. Because of this, the city budget has lost more than 1.35 billion rubles.
On 24 July the state Duma adopted in the third reading a law allowing the police to pass on details of offenders to the city authorities. In the fall of Petersburg motorists will be fined for non-payment of Parking in the city centre.
