The famous American rapper Nelly (real name — Cornell Haynes) was detained on suspicion of rape.
The musician’s lawyer says the charges against his client are false and the plaintiff’s motive is «greed and vindictiveness,» TMZ reports.
A young woman filed a police report against 42-year-old Nelly, claiming that the rapper raped her on his bus while on tour in Washington state.
In August 2015, Tennessee State Police stopped a bus that Nellie was traveling on because the strong smell of marijuana was clearly visible from its windows. Law enforcement officers searched the bus and found methamphetamine and marijuana on it.
