By the evening, the Russian market will go up – shares of Sberbank will become the “locomotive”

Markets do not react to the news of a sharp reduction in China’s trade balance from $ 41 billion to $ 28 billion, apparently because with huge reserves, this is currently not a problem. Oil rallies ahead of the publication of data on the number of operating rigs in the US, and the ruble is trading in the range of 57.50-58.

I expect that the picture on the market will not change by the end of the day, and oil will close around $ 57 per barrel.

There are no notable leaders and outsiders in the stock market. RusAl shares are down 1%, although this cannot be called a fall: the paper is traded near local lows after the news about the sale of part of the stakes by the structures of Vekselberg and Prokhorov. The direction of movement will be determined mainly by the external background. Among the important statistics I would like to note the data on inflation and retail sales in the United States.

The consensus forecast assumes no changes in these indicators in September compared to the previous month, therefore, most likely, it is not statistics that will come to the fore, but reporting. Today, the focus is on the results of Bank of America and Wells Fargo.

Yesterday, the reaction to the reports of Citigroup and JPM was negative, but the forecast has already been based on conservative expectations, therefore, most likely, today’s market reaction will be positive. On Wall Street, players are generally optimistic.

I do not exclude that by the evening the Russian market will grow against the external background. The locomotive may be the shares of Sberbank SBER, which have not yet reached the psychologically significant level of 200 rubles, and I do not exclude that this will happen in one or two days. Guideline for the MICEX index: 2100-2110 p.

Earlier, the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency Alexander Neradko said that the owner of VIM-Avia, Rashid Mursekaev, stopped answering phone calls and could already leave Russia. Within the framework of the criminal case, the Basmanny Court concluded the general director of VIM-Avia, Alexander Kochnev, and the chief accountant of the airline, Ekaterina Panteleeva, under house arrest until November 25.
