Haifa Maccabi is in talks with the former captain of the Portuguese national team

Haifa “Maccabi” has invited Nuna Gomes to the post of sports director of the club, according to Sport5 TV channel.

According to the Portuguese media, the silver and bronze medalist of the Euro experience championships will arrive in Israel in the coming days for talks with the leadership of the Greens.

Nunu Gomes is a graduate of the Amarante club.

He played for Boavista, Benfica, Fiorentina, Braga, Blackburn. Two-time Portuguese champion, two-time Portuguese Cup and Portuguese League Cup winner, 2001 Italian Cup winner.

As part of the Portugal national team, of which he was captain, Nuno Gomes participated in the 2002 and 2006 World Championships, the 2000 European Championships (bronze medal), 2004 (silver medal) and 2008.
