A 10-year-old girl, who lives with her mother in a suburb of Paris, was hospitalized after she was beaten by anti-Semitic classmates.
According to JTA, citing the National Bureau of Anti- Semitism (BNVCA), according to the girl’s mother, classmates repeatedly beat her daughter, «just because she is Jewish.» After another incident, the girl was taken to the hospital with bruises of the soft tissues of the abdomen, as well as a trauma to the chest.
According to Francis Calif, president of the Federation of Jewish Communities in France, systematic anti-Semitic incidents have made public schools unsafe for Jews.
«If in the past almost a third of Jewish families sent their children to public schools , now almost no one does this,» Kalifa said.
In addition, anti-Semitic graffiti has repeatedly appeared on the house where the girl’s family lives, and letters containing a bullet for an AK-47 assault rifle embedded in an envelope and a threat: «The next one is for you» appeared in the mailbox.
