Olympic Committees of Ukraine and Japan signed a memorandum of cooperation

The heads of the Olympic Committees discussed interaction issues ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Games.

Bubka and Saito signed a cooperation agreement

The National Olympic Committees of Ukraine and Japan will continue cooperation until 2020. The corresponding memorandum on the prolongation of cooperation within the framework of a working visit to Japan was signed by the President of the NOC of Ukraine Serhiy Bubka, the official website of the NOC of Ukraine reports.

The chief Olympian of our country visited the headquarters of the NOC of Japan, where he met with its president Tsunekazu Takeda and vice president Yasuo Saito. The heads of the Olympic Committees discussed issues of deepening cooperation, paying special attention to possible interaction, taking into account the holding of the XXXII Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020.

The Japanese side expressed its readiness to assist in organizing training camps for Ukrainian Olympians and the participation of our athletes in various sports in test competitions in the country of the Rising Sun.

Also, according to the agreement, the Olympic Committees will cooperate in the field of research and development on sports, sports medicine, doping control, exchange of sports delegations, and the like.
