SpaceX has launched a Falcon 9 rocket with ten Iridium-3 communications satellites on board from the Vandenberg Cosmodrome in California, as reported on its official Twitter page.

SpaceX intends to land the first stage of the rocket on a floating platform in the ocean.

The launch is broadcast on the company’s official website. The rocket was launched at 5.37 (15:37 Kiev time).

The mission of the rocket is to launch ten Iridium NEXT satellites into orbit by the American company Iridium Communications Inc. Satellites are designed to provide voice and data communications for mobile devices.
