The company Mercedes-Benz is discontinuing production of its most extreme off-road vehicle — the G500 4 × 4 2. The German automaker will accept orders for the model by the end of this month, reports Motor.ru.
The Mercedes-Benz G500 4 × 4 2 is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine that delivers 421 horsepower and 610 Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h takes 7.4 seconds.
It differs from the usual Geländewagen G500 4 × 4 2 with portal axles, double shock absorbers on each wheel and 22-inch rims. The ground clearance of the SUV is 450 mm, the angle of entry is 52 degrees, and the exit angle is 54 degrees. The depth of the ford to be overcome is one meter.
On the basis of the Mercedes-Benz G500 4 × 4 2, the first Maybach off-road vehicle, the G650 Landaulet, was built. It is equipped with a V12 biturbo engine producing 630 horsepower and 1000 Nm of torque.
