The Government of the Perm Territory and Uralkali are planning to conclude a number of special investment contracts (SPICs) for the construction of a mine at the Ust-Yaivinsky section of the Verkhnekamskoye deposit and other investment projects of the company.

This was reported on Friday by the press service of the regional government.

“We are discussing the signing of new special investment contracts: for the construction of a mine at the Ust-Yayvinsky area of ​​the Verkhnekamskoye deposit and other investment projects of Uralkali. In addition, the ruble devaluation period has ended, which means that the company will gradually increase the volume of tax payments to the regional and municipal budgets «, — the words of the Governor of Prikamye, Maxim Reshetnikov, are reported in the press service of the government.

According to Dmitry Osipov, General Director of Uralkali, «the conclusion of a special investment contract is an important event for the company.» «The company invests a lot in its development, this is necessary in order to remain the leaders of its industry. The first regional SPIC between the government of the Perm Territory and PJSC Uralkali was concluded in 2016 under the project to complete the construction of a new production line for the production of potassium chloride at the site of the Bereznikovskiy potash production department No. 4.

Within the framework of the project, it is planned to create about 270 new jobs, at the moment the enterprise has already created 130 jobs, and by the end of the year there will be about 50 more. The special investment contract was concluded for six years — until 2022. According to the document, Uralkali receives indirect financial support from the regional government, and for its part, the company develops infrastructure and social services in the region’s municipalities and creates new jobs.
