The head of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine said that he would meet with Mnuchin

Ukrainian Finance Minister Oleksandr Danilyuk intends to hold meetings with his counterparts from other countries, including US Treasury Secretary Stephen Mnuchin, as part of the fall meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), he told reporters after speaking at the Atlantic Council.

“I plan to hold meetings with my colleagues. Among them are the finance ministers of the United States and Switzerland,” he said and added that during the meeting he will present a “Ukrainian view.”

To a clarifying question from RIA Novosti, whether he is scheduled to meet with the head of the Russian Ministry of Finance Anton Siluanov and discuss the settlement of the debt to the Russian Federation for $ 3 billion, he refused to answer.

The High Court of London in March, having considered a claim by Russia, ordered Ukraine to pay $ 3 billion of the par value of its Eurobonds, acquired by the Russian Federation in 2013 at the expense of the NWF, a coupon payment of $ 75 million, as well as penalty interest accrued on these amounts.

In addition, the court ordered her to reimburse Russia for part of the costs associated with the trial, in the amount of £ 2.8 million.
