Among the regions of the Siberian Federal District, most of the millionaires live in the Kemerovo region. There, 136 people receive a monthly salary of over 1 million rubles. The Krasnoyarsk Territory is in second place in terms of the number of millionaires — there are 113 of them here. The Novosibirsk Region is in third place. In Moscow, about 10.4 thousand people have an income of over 1 million rubles a month.

— This is common data, that is, obtained by extending the characteristics of the sample to the general population. These figures do not allow to speak about the exact number of employees with salaries of 1 million rubles or more, but taking into account the small statistical error, it is safe to judge the number of “salary millionaires” in the Russian regions. The sample included 28.8% of all large and medium-sized enterprises. The shares of employees with a given level of wages calculated on them were subsequently extended to all large and medium-sized enterprises, which is provided for by the Rosstat methodology, the press service of the audit and consulting network FinExpertiza reported.

In March of this year, the tax service summed up the results of the 2019 declaration campaign.

As it turned out, about 25 thousand people live in the region with annual incomes of over 1 million rubles and another 3000 people with annual incomes of 10 million rubles and more. The NGS found out where the millionaires live and how they got rich.
