The court closed the shop at the scandalous Novosibirsk plant «Tyazhstankogidropress»

Now the plant’s specialists are determining whether the company needs a closed workshop. In Novosibirsk, the work of a workshop at a scandalous plant was stopped for 3 months

The court for three months suspended the work of the iron foundry at the Novosibirsk plant «Tyazhstankogidropress», known for scandals with the payment of wages.

Violations in the shop were found after an inspection by Rostekhnadzor, which took place from March 26 to March 31. NGS spoke with the general director of the enterprise to find out how this will affect the operation of the plant.

What are the claims of Rostekhnadzor

On the roof of the cutting and cleaning spans of the iron foundry, leaks were found, which were formed due to violations at the joints of the roof and the absence of storm water.

— The roof of the iron foundry has not been repaired, the roof of the charge span of the iron foundry does not meet the requirements of the working documentation, — said in a message on the website of the Siberian department of Rostekhnadzor.

The specialists drew up a protocol for the enterprise. The materials of the administrative case were sent to the court.

— By the decision of the Kirovsky District Court of the city of Novosibirsk on March 31, 2021, the operation of the building at the hazardous production facility of Tyazhstankogidropress PJSC was suspended for a period of 90 days, the Rostekhnadzor added.

What they say at the enterprise

The general director of the plant, Amir Miftakhov, explained to the NGS that Rostekhnadzor had issued an order to close the workshop last year, and since then it has not worked. Then the repair of the roof was not completed, so the order was issued again.

— The closure of the iron foundry has no effect on current orders. They are executed in a consistent manner. This workshop was viewed in the future if there were orders from traditional consumers or if there was a need from large corporations. This will not affect the current activities of the plant, it has been closed since last year, — explained Amir Miftakhov.

Now specialists are developing a special work program for this workshop. They will determine if the plant itself needs it to operate.

— The situation is now critical. The point is to keep the enterprise afloat, to ensure the supply of energy resources, and in general to preserve the enterprise as a property complex, — says the General Director. — Now a separate program is being worked out for the iron foundry. It is necessary to determine the feasibility of its use in the technological chains of the plant itself, or to determine the possibility of leasing it, so that at least some cash flow appears. These questions are not so acute. It is more important to preserve the enterprise as a whole. Because now we have a problem of relations with energy supplying organizations.

Amir Miftakhov noted that the plant was created in 1943, so many buildings now need current or major repairs.

In November last year at the Tyazhstankogidropress plant, a serious staff reduction began, and the workers were not paid part of their salaries. Ilya Kalinin, an observer of the NGS, spoke with the deputy general director of the plant, Alexander Zhuravlev, who spoke about the situation at the plant. In early December, information appeared that the employees received a salary of 7 to 50 rubles, after which the prosecutor’s office opened a case against the leadership of Tyazhstankogidropress.

At the end of March, workers were allowed to go home for several days due to a power outage. Some were told that the company would soon begin layoffs. This information was commented on by the general director of the plant.
