The verdict was ruled by the Pervomaisky District Court — the murder happened on Pervomaika in 1999 . 11 years of strict regime were given to Novosibirsk for the murder of 21 years ago

The Pervomaisky District Court of Novosibirsk delivered a verdict in the murder case 21 years ago.

V. Hajiyev was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (as amended by Federal Law No. 63-FZ of June 13, 1996), he was sentenced to 11 years of imprisonment in a strict regime.

According to Anastasia Kuleshova, senior assistant to the head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Novosibirsk Region for interaction with the media, the Investigative Department of the Pervomaisky District has collected sufficient evidence to convict Hajiyev.

— The investigation and the court established that in April 1999, in the center of the Pervomaisky district in Novosibirsk, a conflict occurred between two companies of young people, during which one of the participants, being intoxicated, shot at the victim, born in 1978. The latter died on the spot from his injuries, — said Anastasia Kuleshova.

After that, Hajiyev disappeared and was put on the wanted list. He was charged with murder in absentia. The man could not be found for a long time, so the investigation was suspended.

On October 13, 2020, the investigating authorities received information that Hajiyev was in Tyumen. Then the criminal proceedings were resumed. Gadzhiev was convoyed to Novosibirsk and taken to the investigation department.

“During the interrogation, the man did not deny his involvement in the crime,” said Anastasia Kuleshova.

Last week, a resident of Novosibirsk was detained in Perm, who is suspected of murder 13 years ago. The incident itself took place on April 7, 2007. The body of a 52-year-old man with traces of asphyxiation was found in the basement of a house on Tankova Street in the Kalininsky District.
