A total of about 500 billion rubles will be spent on the fight against coronavirus in Russia, said Health Minister Mikhail Murashko.
“This is a very significant amount that is comparable <…> with the entire program of modernization of primary health care,” he said at a video conference on the features of care for cancer patients in COVID-19.
At the same time, the minister drew attention to the results of the first quarter on spending funds on national projects. He noted that, although January and February were fairly calm for medical care, this time was spent “on some kind of buildup” and was ineffective.
“The volume of expenditures on the budgets of the regions for which the funds were allocated did not exceed ten percent. These are extremely low figures,” Murashko said.
