Boys’ soccer Top 10: Severna Park hangs on to the No. 1 spot

There is little movement in this week’s rankings, as ties by River Hill and Landon were the only games in which a ranked team did not win. River Hill dropped from fourth to sixth. Landon swapped spots with The Heights, which had beaten the Bears 1-0 on Sept. 18.

On the boys’ soccer leader board, the race to be the area’s top scorer is heating up as the season reaches the midway point.

Churchill senior Darius Siahpoosh leads all scorers with 14 goals, but Washington International’s Jasper Pearson (13) and DeMatha’s Justin Gielen (12) are both just one good game away from taking the top spot.
