Glamorgan 283 & 403-7dec (Khawaja 126, Carlson 152, Lloyd 43 not out) Derbyshire 362 & 147-8. Match drawn.

And they shake hands at Swansea. Another absolute cracker. Congratulation to Derbyshire for holding on at the last. And well done Glamorgan, flying off the bottom of the Champo table. That’s it from me while I write up, I’m calling the Ageas Bowl a draw. Shout at me on Monday at OT if I’m wrong. Thanks for your lovely company, I’ll share that jinx recipe with you some day.

Congratulations Middlesex! Victory by one wicket – man of the match to James Harris – 58 not out and nerves of steel.

Nooooo! Middx 9 down, 7 to win. Finn for 9. It’s down to Murtagh and Harris.

And Derby are 8 down! Come on Glamorgan – you deserve it after that fight-back and fair declaration.

Bravo James Harris – 52 off just 85 balls. 9 fours – that’s brave.

Crikey, Middlesex need just ten!

Middlesex Noooo! Another wicket down – 38 to win. I’m going to leave you all to it for a bit while I write up. Will check again in half an hour…

Imagine this writing is really tiny: Middlesex only need 45

And it is all over at Tunbridge Wells. Warwickshire fall short by just 73 runs, 445 all out. Denly, the devil at the last, 3-24. What a match! Huge congratulations to everyone involved. To Kent, the spoils.

Arghghg, two quick wickets at Tunbridge Wells to Denly. Hose out for a steadfast 65. 441/9

Hose and Wright toughing it out at Tunbridge Wells – 80 needed, three wickets left…

Middlesex, Middlesex… target down to 65. Cartwright 69 not out…

Derbyshire 97/6. Critchley lbw Hogan for a duck. This is the F of old.

Why oh why oh why are they scoring so slowly at the Ageas. Anyone there?

Derby are in the stink. Madsen gone now for 55, another for Sisodiya. 89 for 5

I’ve got a bit distracted, but also this (from last week)

Sit back, relax, and feast your eyes on this.

Every one of @Ian_Bell’s Cover Drives that went for 4️⃣ against Glamorgan ?

Sniff.

Rejuvenated Ian Bell has come to terms with his international career being over

June 15, 2018

Both Warwicks and Middlesex now need less than a hundred. Middlesex have lost another though, John Simpson for a sturdy 39. I sniff valiant failure.

Another wicket at Swansea. First of the innings for our Prem Sisodiya , Godleman for a duck.Derbys 79/4.

This is what Sisodiya said yesterday: ““It was an amazing feeling (to claim a first wicket), there was a bit of stress going to bed without a wicket and it was a massive relief with hopefully more to come.”

TEA-TIME SCORES

Division One

Worcestershire 247 & 484-7 dec, Lancashire 130 & 399 (Jennings 177, Barnard 4-95. Worcestershire win by 202 runs.

Essex 206 & 139 (Bopara 3; Milnes 4-44), Nottinghamshire 380 & 266. Notts win by 301 runs

DAY/NIGHT: Hampshire 443, Yorkshire 350 & 141-4. still in play

Division Two

Leicestershire 427 & 186, Middlesex 233 & 276-6 (Eskinazi 97, Cartwright 59 not out). Middlesex need 105 runs to win

Kent 197 & 446-8 dec Warwickshire 125 and 414-7 (Sibley 104, Bell 172, Hose 50 not out; Podmore 4-70). Warwicks need 105 to win

Glamorgan 283 & 403-7dec (Khawaja 126, Carlson 152, Lloyd 43 not out) Derbyshire 362 & 77-3 (Madsen 51 not out). Derbyshire need 248 runs to win.

Gosh, three cracking div-2 games go into the final session. Tea scores to follow.

And at Grace Road, Hilton Cartwright passes fifty…106 to win

And another one out at Swansea – Hughes for 9. Madsen now 50 (well played!) – 249 needed. Glamorgan – I’m calling it for you.

Oh Warwickshire. 410 for 7- 109 to win. Against all odds, Middlesex are looking the most likely.

I see Sam Hain got a century for the Lions – his second in four innings for them. He’s got a super list a record, 8 hundreds, averaging around 65. Quite Trottish, apparently

WICKET at Tunbridge Wells. Barker for 16. Enter Patel. The equation reads thus: 47 overs, 127 runs, 4 wickets needed..

What are the Yorkies doing losing early wickets at the Ageas?

Poor Somerset. I see Matt Renshaw is heading home with a broken finger sustained in the match at Guildford. This sleuth failed to spot it – hmmm, scratching my head, must have been second innings I suppose – he only faced 25 balls before being lbw for Morkel for 2.

Renshaw made 513 Championship runs in six games, including three hundreds, and 180 in six One-Day Cup innings.

Jack Leach, remember, is also out for Somerset’s next match against Essex.

Gosh and a second wicket down at Swansea, Slater for 15.

And Hose stubbornly ignores his average at Tunbridge Wells. 135 needed.

And a little bravo for Danny Lamb -19 not out in an hour and 20 minute vigil.

Just a little break for a strawberries-and-meringue-nest mash-up and Barnard has done the business again. A brave fight-back Lankies, a brave fight-back. Barnard 4-95, nine wickets in the match. Worcestershire win by 202 runs.

Ambrose, belying his average, b Henry for 9.

Apologies, Eskinazi run out for 97. Middx 198 for 6. Perhaps we don’t need to worry about the whispering bit now.

And while our attention was elsewhere Middlesex have been, whisper it, creeping, whisper it, creeping , forward. Five wickets down, 184 to win. Eskinazi 97 not out

gjh;foijadlkjg: Derbyshire 8 for 1, Hosein b Hogan for a duck.

Ambrose 48.86. Hose 14.50

Don’t fall in a heap now Warwickshire, keep it alive.. just looking up Hose and Ambrose’s averages this year.

Bell, tolled. lbw for 172 runs of magnificent fortitude. An inducker, apparently.

5.16 an over

So Derbyshire need 325 in 63 overs. That’s errr…

Danny Lamb has just hit his first boundary in first-class cricket. All hail the concussion substitute. He’s had a better go than dear old Max Waller: a three ball duck before being Morkeled.

Glamorgan have declared! Well, now. Derbyshire need 324 to win. Where’s our money?
