Experts named the regions with the largest increase in business vacancies

Moscow and St. Petersburg are losing the status of cities where the labor market in the segment of small and medium-sized businesses is growing at the fastest pace

In the Moscow and Leningrad regions, there is the most positive situation on the labor market in the field of small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), states a study of the online recruiting platform HH.ru and the investment platform Potok (RBC has it). In Moscow and St. Petersburg, the situation is worse due to restrictions.

In the Leningrad Region, the growth in the number of vacancies in the third quarter compared to the pre-crisis first was 149%. But on an annualized basis, the number of vacancies decreased by 10% year-on-year. This is the only region in the study where the number of vacancies in the third quarter declined year-on-year.

In the Moscow region, the growth in the number of vacancies in the third quarter compared to the first was a more modest 50.5%. On an annualized basis, vacancies in the SME segment increased by 41.3%.

The Omsk Region was also among the leaders. The growth in the number of vacancies in the third quarter relative to the first amounted to 50% — the third place after the Moscow and Leningrad regions. In annual terms, the Omsk Region became the leader at all — an increase of 44.6%.

Rostov (49.1%) and Volgograd (47.8%) regions were also in the top five in terms of growth in the number of vacancies compared to the first quarter.
