NATO Secretary General explains why he supports the meeting of trump and Putin

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said he supported the meeting between the leaders of the United States and the Russian Federation, since he considers it necessary to conduct a dialogue with Russia.

“I welcome the future meeting between Presidents Trump and Putin, which is in line with NATO policies,” Stoltenberg said.

The Secretary General of the Alliance recalled that NATO’s policy towards the Russian Federation consists in observing a double approach: lasting defense and dialogue.

“As long as we are united and firm in our approach to Russia, we can conduct a political dialogue with them. We do not want the Cold War and the arms race. Russia is our neighbor and will remain him. Therefore, we need a dialogue to improve relations with her, ”explained the Secretary General of the alliance.

According to him, even if NATO fails to establish relations with the Russian Federation, there remains the need to manage complex relations with Moscow.

“We see a serious military presence, more military exercises, high tension. We must be sure that there are no miscalculations and misunderstandings, incidents and disasters that can lead to a truly dangerous situation, ”he added.

The meeting of US and Russian leaders will be held July 16 in Helsinki.

Berlin talked about NATO concern over Trump and Putin meeting

NATO fears that at a meeting in Helsinki that will follow the alliance’s summit, Donald Trump will “let Putin conduct himself,” said Federal Government Coordinator Peter Beyer. The North Atlantic Alliance fears US President Donald Trump could make a deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin in during the meeting in Helsinki on July 16. “The sweat is overwhelming at the mere thought that Trump is meeting with Putin without any coordination with NATO partners,” said Peter Beyer, coordinator of the FRG government for transatlantic relations, in an interview with German media concern Funke Mediengruppe.

Bayer recalled that Trump met with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un on June 12 in Singapore, who has so far only “made promises.” This causes NATO member countries to worry that in Helsinki, Trump will “let Putin conduct himself,” Bayer said.

The North Atlantic Alliance Summit will be held in Brussels on July 11-12. After him, Trump will go to Helsinki, where on July 16 he will hold talks with Putin. The American president said he intends to discuss with the head of the Kremlin Russia’s alleged interference in US elections, as well as the situation in Syria and Ukraine. At the same time, answering a reporter’s question, can the United States recognize Crimea as part of Russian territory, Trump replied: “We will see”

More compliant lead to power: Putin’s tactics in Ukraine

Russia’s provocations in Ukraine, including the aggravation of the situation in the Sea of Azov, are connected with the desire of Russian President Vladimir Putin to wait for time and wait for a change of government, which may take a position more loyal to his regime.

This was told by the chief analyst of the Vilnius Institute of Political Analysis Marius Laurinavicius.

“What Russia is doing is visible to the naked eye. The destabilization of the political situation, various kinds of provocations and, at the same time, the support of all the forces that are somehow connected or have interests in Russia. Thus, Russia is trying to wait time and wait for a change of power in Ukraine, believing that the next government will be more accommodating. In English, this is called strategic patience. They use such tactics (including in the form of a hybrid war) and all in order to destabilize the situation in Ukraine and weaken the state as such. And, perhaps, to intervene even more in internal processes. This is one of the goals. The other goal is political, ”the expert says.

“Putin’s girlfriend”: how Tymoshenko begins the war in Ukraine

MP Yulia Tymoshenko is fueling the situation in the country, talking about the introduction of a state of emergency in Ukraine.

Tiomshenko claims that allegedly President Petro Poroshenko “intends to introduce a state of emergency in Ukraine so as not to hold elections.”

According to Tymoshenko, for the implementation of this plan, a negotiation process of power has already begun with those who allegedly lead the “LDNR”.

“The president’s circle and the president himself have friendly relations with those who allegedly lead the fake LPR and DPR,” she said.

Tymoshenko gave a clear and explanatory answer to such provocative statements. People’s deputy, vice speaker of BP Irina Gerashchenko told her that the war has been going on for a long time and that Poroshenko did not attack anyone.

“To the attention of opposition politicians who have never been at the front. The war is already going on if you do not know this in your Koncha-Zaspa. Ukraine and the Ukrainian president did not attack anyone. But the Russian Federation and your friend Russian President Putin attacked Ukraine, annexed Crimea, occupied part of Donbass, ”said Gerashchenko.

The politician emphasized that Tymoshenko in her statements does not recall Russian aggression.

“Ukraine and the Ukrainian president did not attack anyone. We are in our own land, which we protect and liberate. In the theses of the opposition, not a word about Putin. Coincidence? I don’t think, ”concluded Gerashchenko.
