At Novosibirsk State University, they will begin to prepare masters in the operation of synchrotrons – such a decision was made after Vladimir Putin supported the idea of creating a synchrotron accelerator at the SB RAS in February.
“We want to build the program in such a way that people understand why this new technique is needed, in particular the synchrotron, and know how to use it correctly. Such a research tool is very important for the development of science and the country’s economy. The Akademgorodok is ideally suited for building a modern synchrotron, because, unlike many other science cities, it has always been multidisciplinary, ”Elena Boldyreva, head of the Department of Solid State Chemistry of the Department of Natural Sciences, quoted the press service of the State University.
According to the press service of the university, the master’s program “Methodological support of physico-chemical studies of condensed phases” will be launched at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Physics Department.
Novosibirsk scientists asked the president to build a synchrotron radiation center at a meeting with Vladimir Putin on February 8 this year – the president came to Akademgorodok for one day to listen to requests from representatives of Siberian science.

Crowded Novosibirsk school reconstructed after complaints from parents to Putin
In June, residents complained to the president about a crowded school
The authorities of Novosibirsk issued a permit on July 30 to reconstruct school No. 51 at 84 Okhotsk and to build an extension to it. Information about this appeared on the website of the Department of Construction and Architecture.
The document states that the school is waiting for reconstruction with an increase in the volume of construction – the building itself will become larger. As the general director of the Swifts Group of Companies Igor Belokobylsky, who developed the project, said, the school will have two extensions: a teaching area of 4.9 thousand square meters. m and to accommodate the assembly hall and library area of 1.7 thousand square meters. m
The capacity of the school after reconstruction will almost double: from 575 to 1,100 places.
“In addition to this, the project has street venues: 10–11 acres for outdoor games of the“ beginner, ”5 acres for outdoor games of the middle classes,” Belokobylsky added. “There will be a sports zone with an obstacle course, a game zone.”
He also explained that the new building permit repeats what was issued earlier – its validity has expired. When exactly the construction will begin, how long the work will last and how much it will cost will become known in the near future.
Novosibirsk, whose children attend school number 51, has repeatedly noted that it has long been in need of reconstruction. In June, they even complained to Putin about crowded classes – because of this, they could introduce a third shift at school.

Putin does not believe in electric cars in Russia
Russian President Vladimir Putin during the Direct Line said that, although electric cars are a global trend, in Russia now such an energy source will not be environmentally friendly.
“To produce electricity for charging an electric vehicle, you need to have a primary source – in the world, paradoxically, coal is the most used for electricity production, and this is far from the most environmentally friendly type of primary fuel,” the president said.
An alternative to electric cars and gasoline cars, Putin sees gas-powered cars. According to the head of state, “if we talk about improving the environmental situation in this area, then we need to switch to gas engine fuel.”
