Ukraine will transfer evidence of repression of Crimean Tatars to the UN Court

Evidence of repression and oppression of Crimean Tatars in the annexed Crimea by Russia will be submitted by Ukraine to the International Court of Justice of the United Nations (UN).

This was during a press conference on the political arrests of activists in the Crimea annexed by Russia, said Foreign Minister Maryana Beta.

“We consider all these acts of repression and violence against the Crimean Tatars as discrimination against the Crimean Tatars, and we collect all this evidence in the documents that we will file with the court,” she said.

As Beta said in a commentary to the agency, Ukraine is preparing memoranda in Ukraine v. Russia case for submission to the court.

These documents will contain materials regarding the violation by Russia of the “International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination” on the territory of the peninsula annexed by it.

They do it in the way which is beneficial to the Kremlin: the journalist pointed out an important moment with the actions of Ukraine in relation to the Crimean Tatars

Many Ukrainian politicians in relation to the Crimean Tatars defend the point of view of Russia.

About this “Apostrophe” told the deputy general director of the Crimean Tatar television channel ATR, a well-known journalist Ayder Muzhdabaev.

“We still do not recognize the Crimean Tatars as the indigenous people of Ukraine. Everyone knows that we are an indigenous people, but this is not recognized by anyone. And why? This is so that all sorts of Dobkins and people who call themselves Ukrainian nationalists (and in fact repeat what the Kremlin says) should go out and say that Crimean Tatars should not be given autonomy within Ukraine, even with all the guarantees that are written there. It’s impossible, because then the Hungarians, Romanians, Bulgarians, Greeks will begin to demand autonomy, ”the journalist noted.

According to Muzhdabaev, such actions by Ukrainian politicians are intentional and aimed at consolidating the annexation of Crimea.

“And all in order to not support the Crimean Tatars, give Crimea to Putin and leave it like that forever. Such are his agents of influence. I judge by business, I do not need intelligence information. I just see that on key issues they occupy a position favorable to the Kremlin. Different people can say it. I emphasize that this is not only the Oppoblock, ”the journalist said.

The Kremlin is trying to arrange negotiations with Ukraine over the Crimea: a loud statement is made

Russia is aggressing in the Sea of Azov and blocking Ukrainian ports with the aim of blackmailing Kiev in order to force Ukraine to ensure the vital activities of the occupied Crimea.

The coordinator of the group “Information Resistance”, people’s deputy, military expert Dmitry Tymchuk wrote on his page on Facebook.

It is noted that blocking ports will entail multimillion-dollar losses, as well as depriving thousands of people from the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhya regions of work.

“The complication and appreciation of logistics, and, as a result, a blow to the competitiveness of Ukrainian business is an important factor for the Russian Federation to destabilize the situation in the region. With the subsequent exit to Kiev, “the current Ukrainian authorities are to blame for everything,” the military expert explained.

“At the same time, we see Moscow spinning up a map of the“ Ukrainian terrorist threat ”for Crimea (a message for the West), and attempts to destabilize the situation in the Kherson region (a message for the“ Kiev junta ”),” Tymchuk wrote.

According to the “Information Resistance”, in this way the Kremlin wants to start negotiations with Kiev to restore water supply to the occupied peninsula.

“Once again, we are on the verge of massive pressure from the Kremlin in all directions – political and military, economic,“ humanitarian ”, using all means of the Russian special services – from agents in the regions and Ukrainian politics, to paid“ friends of Russia ”in international organizations. Aggression of Russians in the Sea of Azov is far from the first vile attempt of the Russian Federation to stab a knife in the back of Ukraine. I’m afraid not the last one … ”, summed up the IP Coordinator.
