In Berlin, a rally against friends of Putin

On Sunday, May 27, protests against the policies of Russia and those who support it were held in central Berlin.

Two actions took place in the German capital, initiated by the right-wing populists supporting the Russian Federation, as well as their political opponents.

To maintain law and order, more than 2 thousand yews were involved. police officers. They had to use pepper gas to prevent collisions.

Right-wing populists are participants in the Alternative for Germany, the so-called AdG. They, being supporters, in particular, of the policy of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, together with others used posters and banners with Cyrillic inscriptions.

It is noted that one of the main supporters of the movement are Russian Germans, who basically voted for this party at last year’s parliamentary elections in Germany.

In turn, their opponents, members of the Stop Hate – Stop AdG alliance, used the slogan “Racism is not an alternative.” They opposed the “friends of Putin.”

According to police, instead of 10,000 right-wing populists, half the number of participants gathered at the demonstration. Those who opposed the “new Nazism” were five times more – about 25 thousand.

Nord Stream 2: Unexpected Background of Putin’s Project Revealed

In the case of the implementation of the Nord Stream-2 project, Ukraine will lose political leverage in the international arena – Europe will have less interest in interfering in the war with Russia.

This opinion was voiced in an interview with RBC-Ukraine by the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the Council of Europe, Dmitry Kuleba.

He emphasized that in certain political circles there is an opinion that if the gas pipeline is launched, it will be easier for Putin to fight in Ukraine.

“After all, Europe will have less interest in interfering in this war and protecting us, because there is no pipe. There is no doubt that this is part of our guilt. You can’t live 26 years and think that everything will be always good, and then be surprised. But there is reason to believe that the Germans have heard our concern and will try to help. The only question is how to help, ”the diplomat said.

According to Kuleba, there are two ways out of this situation.

“One of them is to abandon Nord Stream 2, which the chances are not very great. Although the Americans have not finally said their word. The second option, if the Nord Stream-2 project is still being implemented, there should be legal guarantees, ”he explained.

“Not like the Budapest memorandum, but specific interstate agreements. And not bilateral, but tripartite – between Germany, Ukraine and Russia on the subject, for example, of the fact that Russia transports specified gas volumes under any circumstances through the Ukrainian system, ”added the representative of Ukraine to the Council of Europe.

Putin responds to allegations of involvement in hacker cyber attacks

In an interview with the leading Austrian television company ORF, Armin Wolf, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he considered the “ridiculous” version of possible involvement in hacker attacks directed against the United States.

Interviews are available on the Kremlin website.

“Western governments, Europe, and above all the USA, accuse Russia of interfering in the domestic politics of other states by hackers. In all interviews, you say that this is not so, but there is no doubt that for many years there has been the so-called Internet Research Agency in St. Petersburg, which is trying to influence public debate on Facebook. These so-called troll factories belong to Yevgeny Prigozhin, whom you know very well, they call him Putin’s cook because he serves all your guests, ”the journalist asked.

In response, Putin asked “to make a difference between the government of the Russian Federation, the Russian state and Russian citizens.”

According to Putin, Prigozhin is really engaged in the restaurant business, since he works as a restaurateur in St. Petersburg, but “cannot influence the elections in the USA.”

“Do you really think that a person who is engaged in a restaurant business, even having some hacking opportunities, having some private company in this field – I don’t even know what he is doing – from these positions can influence the elections in the United States or in some European country? How low everything that happens in the information and political spheres in the countries of the united West has fallen if a restaurateur from Russia can influence the elections in some European country or in the United States! It’s not funny?” – the president of the Russian Federation noted.
