The Ministry of Defense announced the lack of ammunition of large caliber

The Ministry of Defense reported on active work to diversify the production of ammunition at enterprises in Ukraine.

This was announced at a briefing by the deputy director of the Department of military-technical policy, development of weapons and military equipment of the Ministry of Defense Vladislav Shostak, reports RBC-Ukraine.

“Yes, we have such information (about the lack of ammunition) … As you know, the production of components of ammunition was deployed in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. We have lost these businesses. There is a certain deficit in large calibers.

Such calibers are used in the countries of the former USSR. Unfortunately, attempts to make purchases in these countries have been futile, therefore, work is currently underway to create ammunition production at domestic enterprises, ”said Shostak.

Earlier, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov said that the NSDC is preparing a decision on the liberalization of export and import of military weapons.

Serbian Minister of Defense says Maidan was an operation of Western intelligence

In Serbia, it was stated that the events on Maidan in 2014 in Kiev were a special operation of Western intelligence services.

This statement was made by Minister of Defense of the Government of Serbia Aleksandar Vulin, casting doubt on the sincerity of the protests against Yanukovych.

Note that last week, because of rising fuel prices in Serbia, drivers protested. At the same time, Vulin said that blocking roads for this reason is unacceptable.

The Minister stressed that he did not believe in the sincerity of the drivers, and in support of his opinion he referred to the experience of protests against former President Viktor Yanukovych in Ukraine in 2014.

“They called themselves Avtomaydan and they also blocked roads, provoked conflicts, destroying the country by order of Western intelligence services. It seems that there are people who want to repeat in Serbia what they managed in Ukraine. They want to destabilize and destroy Serbia. And fortunately, the leader of Serbia Vučić is not Yanukovych, ”Vulin added.

In Voronezh, flight tests of the new An-148 for the Ministry of Defense began

Flight tests of the new An-148 aircraft with tail number RA-61734 started at the VASO aerodrome on Wednesday, July 11. The 14th flight out of 15 ordered for the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is already undergoing verification, a Vesti-Voronezh correspondent was told by its own source, who was tested.

Since the beginning of 2018, this is the second An-148 that flew into the air. The thirteenth board was checked back in March.

The aircraft flight test program includes general technical inspections of aircraft. Specialists look at the controllability of the aircraft at different altitudes and speeds, the reliability of the systems, emergency reduction, landing on a single working engine, landing gear, automatic and manual approaches, and departure to the second round.

Voronezh Aircraft Plant signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense for the supply of 15 An-148 aircraft back in 2013. According to the “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”, nine of the already built aircraft serve in the eighth special-purpose air division at the Chkalovsky airfield near Moscow. Two more became part of the 33rd Separate Aviation Transport Regiment ZVO at the Levashovo airfield in the Leningrad Region, the 12th and 13th aircraft departed for Rostov-on-Don. The last two An-148s will arrive at the Levashovo airfield in the Leningrad Region in 2018.

In June 2017, federal media, citing its own source in the Russian aviation industry, announced the cessation of production of the An-148 short-range aircraft. The board is a development of the Ukrainian Antonov Design Bureau, and, according to the source, this is the reason for the possible cessation of the production of the An-148 in Voronezh.

However, the press office of the aircraft factory noted that the production of cars will depend solely on the availability of orders, and not on politics.
