Children from Novosibirsk filmed with trash and old tires for a photo project. In Novosibirsk, at a dump near Gusinobrodskoye Highway, a photo session for the «Save Our Future» project took place. Children took part in the environmental filming — they were filmed against the background of debris and old tires.
The project participants are sure that environmental problems are especially urgent at the present time, when there is massive deforestation, unauthorized dumps are formed, forest fires occur, water bodies are polluted with household waste.
Elena Romanova, the mother of one of the Novosibirsk models, 8-year-old Katya, told the NGS journalist that the children are now really concerned about environmental problems:
— They see all this dirt, garbage. The organizers of the project Natalya Sugak and Ekaterina Shalginova filmed in two cities — Novosibirsk and Abakan.
There were two participants from Novosibirsk. Later, the project was supported by showman Sergei Zverev and the Green Party.
Natalya Sugak told the NGS journalist that the idea of the project appeared a long time ago, and the implementation went quickly when the team got together. The trip to the landfill was not as easy as it seemed — they were not allowed there, they had to shoot only from one side:
— There were such delights that it was probably for the best! There was nothing to breathe, dogs, rats and crows. This trip to the city dump turned the minds of the children upside down. They now go somewhere and pick up the trash.
Natalia Sugak says that the response to the project was great: someone wants to be filmed, and someone is also ready to take pictures for the project, for example, photographers in Ukraine.
Natalia herself is worried about overconsumption, as well as the fact that the air is dirty, there is dust around that constantly settles on the windowsills, food that does not turn sour.
Everything that happens to the environment now, says Elena Romanova, falls on the shoulders of future generations — children, grandchildren. Therefore, the participants in the photo project urge everyone to think not only about themselves, but also about what we will leave behind.
