Alleged Capitol rioter arrested after boasting on hot mic about vulgar act on Pelosi desk

Jorge Riley, who recently resigned from the California Republican Assembly, reportedly admitted to his actions at a «Recall Newsom» rally at the state capitol on Sunday.

A former Republican politician charged with rioting at the US Capitol was caught admitting to his alleged actions during an event calling on the state’s governor, Gavin Newsom, to resign.

As CBS Sacramento reported, Mr Riley was recorded by a camera crew at the event saying that he “may or may not have rubbed my butt on Nasty Pelosi’s desk.»

“I was in there and for the most part almost nobody did anything wrong,” Mr Riley added, as he spoke alongside another accused rioter, Jeffrey Perrine, who went on to say that “I am a Proud Boy”.

Following his arrest for allegedly taking part in the riot, Mr Perrine was expelled from the Sacramento County Republican Central Committee for his membership of the Proud Boys.

Mr Riley, who was also arrested and released on bail, previously admitted in another video to taking part in the Capitol riot.

“We pushed our way to Nancy Pelosi’s office and went further and further,” he said in the video, apparently filmed outside the Capitol building. “I got pepper-sprayed three times.”

Both Mr Perrine and Mr Riley were recorded at Sunday’s recall rally in Sacramento, the state capitol, by Black Zebra Impact Team, a California-based documentary production firm.

Black Zebra, which has been following domestic terrorists, filmed the six-minute long clip including Mr Riley’s recent remarks, before sharing it on Instagram on Tuesday.

They wrote in the caption that it was “another rally filled with white supremacists and domestic terrorists.”

Thousands were said to have marched in support of a petition seeking Mr Newsom’s resignation or recall elections — amid criticism of his handling of the Covid-19 pandemic.
